Icona Pop: Face of Religion

Cast your mind back to Religion SS and AW12 and you'll be reminded or a female model with way cool hair and poses brimming with nonchalant attitude. When not moonlighting as the face of Religion, Aino is one half of Swedish music duo, Icona Pop.

Aino and Caroline started out on a sofa in Stockholm and it hasn't taken them long to get a USA tour, feature in groundbreaking HBO show Girls, all topped off with a place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They've played Madison Square Gardens, toured with the likes of Marina and the Diamonds and Passion Pit, conquered America and always spread Scandi joy wherever they go.

Their smash single with Charli XCX 'I Love It' will really get you going - watch it here. They recorded it while broke in London, then headed overseas, but now they're back. Read more and see their UK live dates here.

A*M*E Wears Religion

She's topped the charts, nabbed a Hunger Magazine front cover and now she is rocking Religion. A*M*E is bursting on to the UK music scene with tracks like her #1 single 'Need U (100%) with Duke Dumont. This is some seriously catchy stuff. A*M*E came by our Shoreditch High Street store a few weeks ago for some retail therapy with her stylist to pick out her favourite pieces, and loved it so much she stayed for hours. Here's what she got up to:

A few weeks ago we held a competition in our Shoreditch High Street store, looking for our best dressed customer. We wanted to see how you, the people of East London, style Religion. Our winner is Kaydia, who rocks a monochrome Religion look and ties a trench coat with serious finesse.

Dressing up or Dressing down this Easter?

The four day weekend is upon us - so will you be dressing up or dressing down? Relaxing with the fam in your best slouchy wardrobe or turning the 4 day weekend into a 96 hour session and needing an outfit that can handle the pace? We've got some options for you:

If you're taking it easy:

Religion in House of Fraser Manchester

As the new season is still hitting down in stores, we caught up with Aimee, the manager of the Religion concession in House of Fraser Manchester to see what she is loving for SS13 and to hear about what’s hot in Manchester.

What is your favourite piece this season?

I love the Magic Maxi dress. Yellows are really starting to hit down hard in Manchester and it is a fab statement piece (when the weather allows!).

Where is the best place for a night out in Manchester?

Definitely the Northern Quarter, there are plenty of cool and quirky bars to choose from with live bands and unusual drinks, from Hawaiian bars to the Black Dog Ballroom.

What’s on your playlist at the moment?

AlunaGeorge and Delilah are my most played at the moment…  I’m slightly obsessed with their take on music. LOVELOVELOVE. 

What’s your go-to Religion item?

Persecution sweat - it’s great for days when you need something to look good without much effort, just add a pair of heels and some stripes!

For SS13 we’ve got some popping brights – which is your favourite?

Molten lava does it for me, its bright and vibrant and will look fab when the sun eventually comes out in Manchester. But for now, we can use it to brighten up the streets.
